About thirteen years ago my primo "chuco" Rafael Topete was murdered beacuse of gang violence. He use to draw these firme collages of azteca'a lowriders and beatiful woman. I remember he always used to draw these clowns,, i guess he saw life was joke, "el que se aguita pierde" simle now and cry later. I did'nt get it then, but now I do ! I had the blessing for him to draw in my piece book when i was a lil homie coming up. He did this OG clown with slick hair and a big mustache, and a half face of a woman shaded all proper. The key hole he told me was for the family and homie's we had in jail and a tear drop symbolizing the morning of those gone. (deep stuff)...
This acutally is a piece that i decided to do to pay homage to my Primo Ese Chuco. He drew a picture for me back in the day he is one of my early influence in the chicano art. Rest In Peace ese Chuco. Stop gang violence.
